The sight of a diya (MR:पणती, EN: Earthen Lamp) makes me happy for some reason
After a quick puja at a friend’s place, we headed to a Vaishno Devi Temple in Oakville, near Toronto. The place was wayy overcrowded and since I was more excited about fireworks than anything else, I headed straight to the grounds. The smell of gunpowder was lingering all around and I think I got high

lamps and lights always create a positive feeling …I prefer fireworks without noise
Give them a taste of how India celebrates her festivals!!! Light ‘em up
These pictures got me into the Diwali mood again. Delightful and vibrant colours. Beautiful photography Priyank. Thank you for sharing.
Nice Capture Mate, wonderful shots. Thanks for your detailed comment on Nandigram, keep coming.
Oh, first my website doesn’t work and now the feeds are broken. Someone jinxed it… Will fix soon

I prefer light to noise too… but a principle of energy conservation states that if it’s not noise, then its the smoke.
Oemar:
Done that
Celine:
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Pijush:
Thanks!
you have a Vaishnodevi Temple in Canada?
Prerna:
Yes! We do, and a pretty nice one actually. There are many niche temples (dedicated to particular deity) and also some supermarket temples (having all the known deities)
