Toronto skyline
It was blue sky with clouds scattered around, early fall and the weather was perfect. But every time I went to the Toronto Islands on a date, it was disastrous. Toronto\'s skyline looks wonderful from the islands south of the city and if nothing else was, at least the pictures were good... ;-)

Fall colours and Canadian Geese at York University

Autumn is at its peak in Toronto and everything is pretty colorful. Last Saturday afternoon, the campus was unusually empty and the central lawn was taken over by geese who were busy having lunch.

The presence of these birds is a sign that real winter hasn’t begun yet (indeed, the lows are not below 5ÂșC). Soon, the birds will start flying south, migrating across the border.

I love walking on crunchy leaves that carpet the ground. When there’s wind, these leaves scatter around in circles and loops, flying all over the place, like little kids who just finished school and are running home.

Oh, Canada geese (contrary to popular belief, it is not Canadian geese, but Canada geese, according to some bird society). I don’t mind them having lunch, but when they carpet the walkways with green stuff that looks like it came out of a giant toothpaste tube, then it gets disgusting.
