Punakha Dzong
Built in the 17th century, this great monastery and was the seat of Bhutan\'s capital until 1955 when they moved the capital to Thimpu. Exploring the monastery can take anywhere between one to three hours and walking thru its dark, narrow corridors with Buddhist mantras chanting in the background is a feeling I can\'t quite describe...

Toronto Tuesday 01.19

Volume 1, Edition 19

‘Toronto Tuesday‘ is a weekly photo feature about random stuff (landmarks, people, culture, seasons, etc.) in the city.

What’s cookin’!

6087
Chinatown, located at Spadina and Dundas, is a place full of interesting stuff. This restaurant gave a whole new meaning to the term ‘window shopping’ (or should I say ‘window munching’?). For a change, I don’t see any chicks on display! :P

Award!

Versatile blogger awardGopinath held Blogscars 2009 recently and awarded me the ‘Versatile Blogger Award’. He had some generous things to say about me:

“for enjoying what he does and posting those breathtaking pictures which capture nature and its freshness – they arrive fresh on your blogspots, Priyank. Makes me wonder – is it Pure Oxygen or Ozone, that you load it with?”

It was nice to read that! Thanks Gopinath! :) I post stuff on my blog with some specific thoughts in mind or maybe the blog reflects my personality. However, it is likely that others may see the same blog in some different light, since we interpret things differently.

Now who do I have on mind? Closer to home.
Zhu (Correr Es Mi Destino) for talking about aboot life in Canada and tales of her travels that make me jealous.
Jeruen (Memoirs of a Linguist) for presenting the orgy of his mental vomit in an engaging way.

cheers,
Priyank

I get an award? Yay! I am touched! Seriously, I am glad that someone appreciates what I write. I suppose I need to broaden my blogger interactions: I only read a few, and comment on fewer.

Same in Ottawa. Roasted ducks and sliced pork is always a favorite in Chinatown!
